The President was in Hoboken to visit St. Ann's Feast at Seventh and Jefferson Streets as part of his campaign for re-election in the 1984 Presidential election. He had just arrived by the helicopter behind him which landed on the Stevens Institute of Technology athletic field. The Governor of New Jersey was also a Republican. Sinatra was known as a major supporter of Reagan; besides campaign support, he helped to organize the entertainment for and performed at both Reagan inaugurals. The man at the left edge is not identified.
