Davis OK Baking Powder. Export packaging? Product made by R. B. Davis Co., Hoboken, no date, circa 1890-1910. Greenish tint clear molded glass, 2-1/4" diameter x 4-7/16" high; 3/4" diameter bore; embossed lettering on shoulder; flanged lip, wide rim; mold seams slightly raised. No maker's marks on base.
Shoulder lettering:
front: Davis OK [Davis is 1/4" high; OK is ca. 7/16"]
back: Baking Powder [both 1/4" high]
Partial remains of original paper label printed in gold, red and black is present on bottle including a portion with the Hoboken address: 14, 16 & 18 Jackson St. (If intact, the complete address should be stated as: Factory, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 & 18 Jackson St., Hoboken, N.J.) It is found running vertically on the left side. On the same side are seen fragments of text, from top, in French, Spanish and German. This suggests that this labeled product was for export. Original closure, cork stopper, not present. Cork seen inside bottle is modern.
