Biscuit cutter for Davis Baking Powder. Issued by by R. B. Davis Co., Hoboken, no date, circa 1910-1930. Formed and stamped metal, 2-3/8" outside diameter x 15/16"" high; three 3/16" diameter holes in triangular pattern through top; incomplete: lacking hoop handle (note solder spots left and right of the word "Davis" where originally attached; see objects 2006.041.0007 for a complete cutter.)

A promotional item. Davis made its main product, Baking Powder in Hoboken during the time period this item was issued. They had can making facilities as part of manufacturing and packaging operations at least in the 1920s, but can lids stamped in this same lettering format are known to have been used by them.
