Black metal desktop double date perforator from Hoboken City Hall. Used in the Water Department office to dateor record payment on official records. Left side is perforated in 3 lines: PAID | +[Date as set] | HOB NJ. Right side: +[Date as set]. When handle is operated, the paper is perforated and cut into two pieces. Riveted plate on rear notes that it is a Cummins No. 35 perforator from the Cummins Perforator Company, Chicago & New York. No date (ca. 1880). Last date set in the the machine was Jan. 19, 1981.
