Advertising ink blotter: Cut-Rite Waxed Paper. Imprinted: Sold by Reeves Parvin & Co., Huntingdon, Pa. No date, circa 1927-1928. Printed paper, 6" x 3-1/8" high laminated to blue blotter.
Not stated on it is that the manufacturer and distributor of the product was the Automatic Paper Machinery Co., Hoboken, N.J. It is also undated and believed to be an early promotional item for the brand.
Shortly after this period, its wholesale distribution and retail promotion were done by the R.B. Davis Co. of Hoboken which made Davis Baking Powder (as well as Cocomalt and other products; the factories were neighbors) until the latter part of the 1930s. The sales were done by a Davis subsidiary called R.B.D. Co. or R.B.Davis Sales Co. and the promotional literature or advertisements were identified with those companies. The name, Automatic Paper Machinery Co., appears in advertising in from the late 1930s into the 1940s.
Imprinted with the retailer's store name and retail price: 10 cents.
