Newsclipping scrapbook of Hoboken politics and government activities, 1969-1973. Spiral bound notebook, 9" x 12", 150 lined paper leaves. Clippings are dated in ballpoint ink with notation of newspaper as Hudson Dispatch (H.D.), Jersey Journal (J.J.) or Hoboken Pictorial (H.P.) Circa 115 leaves have clippings (often multiple) on each side; estimated 250 total.
The bulk of the clippings are about the 1971 City Council elections for every ward, runoffs and follow-up. A smaller group near the back covers local politics in 1972-1973 including realignment of the wards, demolition of Todd Shipyards, articles about the on-again - off-again purchase of the "abandoned Todd Shipyards" by Supermarine, Inc. (or Corporation) for a proposed fuel desulfurization plant (oil tank farm) on the site.
