Scope and ContentArchive of programs for The Flicker Film Fan Club later Monthly Movie, Hoboken, Dec. 19, 1975 to Jan. 13 [1977.] Most are in facsimile as reproduced from the back cover of Hoboken Time Machine. Except for first leaf (8-1/2 x 14} all are letter size; all are three hole punched. Hoboken lacked a movie theatre and this series was created (apparently by Jim Hans) to fill a cultural void in the community. Films are listed and some are works were made by artist residents or were home movies of residents; some of these people were named. The programs here are for the first fourteen of the series. 1. December 16, 1975 at Grand Hotel, Third and Hudson Streets (232 Hudson St.) Address of club was 108 Washington St. 2. Jan. 6, 1976. Single folio, [4] pages. 3. Feb. 3, 1976. Club address is now the Grand Hotel, 232 Hudson St. 4. March 2, (1976.) Series is now called Monthly Movie 5. April 6, 1976. (marked at top "TM #1: M604." TM is Han's "Time Machine" where the program would have appeared as an ad or announcement; from this point forward leaves are marked with TM issue number) 6. May 4, 1976. 7. June 11, 1976. The Grand Hotel was no longer open for business, so the series was moved to the Shannon Bar, 106 First St. (once Bishop's Theatre and home of the Hoboken Camera Club.) 8. July 8, 1976. States "Presented by the newly formed Hoboken Museum." This is NOT the Hoboken Historical Museum founded in 1986 or a related predecessor. 9. August 12, 1976. 10. Sept. 9, (1976.) 11.
