Black-and-white group photo of eighth grade graduation class of 1936, Saints Peter and Paul Church School, Hoboken, 1936. 10" high x 14" wide print on photographer's mount. Photographer was William Menken, Menken Studio, Hoboken with his blind stamp (508 Washington St.) on mount lower right. Dated in image at bottom. Reverse has contemporary holographic ink name and address: Mrs. A. Roland | 813 Washington St. | Hoboken, N.J.
The two men in clerical dress at center: the one with eyeglasses is Reverend Ferdinand E. Bogner; the other was the assistant pastor, Reverend William A. McCann. The class of 15 girls and 15 boys are all ca. 14 years olf and dressed the same respectively. None of the children are identified except Alvin P. Roland. Jr. who was commonly known as Peter Roland. He is the fifth from the left in the back row. According to donor Pam Roland Miller. Peter's mother Mrs. A. Roland has her name inscribed on the back.
