Brochure: Hamburg-American Packet Company. Proposed Sailings. No. 90, March 4, 1887. Single sheet 13" wide x 15" high folded to [4] pages, 6-1/2" wide x 7-1/2" high; folds open to railroad map of Europe. Brittle with chipped edges and lost corner. Item issued by C.B. Richard and Co., General Passenger Agents. (Company had several offices including 61 Broadway, New York; item was printed in New York.)
The company was known later as the Hamburg-American Line. Its passenger piers were in Hoboken (Piers 1 and 2 next to the Hoboken Ferry) until World War I.

Pages [2-3] as a spread:
left third Approximate Rates and Times. (This is for European railroads from Hamburg or Paris.)
center third: depiction of vessel under steam with both sails and funnels.
right third: description of the lines and services. Here it is noted that the "steamers of this Line leave New York from Hamburg Pier, foot of First Street, Hoboken..."
Page [4]: Proposed Sailings. Sailings from February 20 to August 28 are listed for the ports of Hamburg, Havre and New York. The steamers are named along with the captains. This leaf has the date on it at the lower left.
