Card with horizontal format has a artistic view captioned "The Clermont on the Hudson River." Round vignette at each end, one being a dock with passengers boarding the Clermont to Albany and the other a portrait of Robert Fulton. Card with vertical format has artwork that depicts a woman holding the "Half Moon" {Hudson's ship] and the "Clermont" in her hands with the skyline of New York City behind her. Two round vignette portraits at bottom, one of Henry Hudson and the other Robert Fulton. Although the celebration (usually hypenated as Hudson-Fulton) was essentially a New York State event and these cards do not relate to any specific Hoboken activities at that time, both Hudson and Fulton did have connections to Hoboken in their lives.
