Postcards, two: Group photo of Stevens Preparatory School football team from two different years, Hoboken, no date, one from 1911 and the other either 1910 or 1912. Real photo postcards, 3-3/8" x 5-3/8" wide; divided back; Azo stamp block; unstamped and unposted. Identifications on each in contemporary pencil.
With: printed diamond-shaped emblem, blue paper & ink, titled and dated: "1911 Football Stevens School Team 1911"; reverse is blank. This item and the postcards show damage from previous album mounting. See notes.
Team members and a coach are posed outside a building on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology. A few boys wear letter sweaters or uniforms with 'S' or 'SS'.

Notes: Per donor: the source stated that the cards and title plate were removed from an album with no items dated later than 1912. Thus at least one card is from 1911 (related to the title emblem) and it is likely that the other is from a year earlier or later. Note that some of the players are the same in both images.
