This item accompanied object 2009.006.0150, Merchants' Slide Rule, K&E model 4094. Page [2] is a depiction of the slide rule. (Note the spelling of "Merchants'." In the 1915 (35 edition) catalog and in manual 2009.006.0150.02 which was apparently first printed circa the date of that catalog (although the copy itself may be have been issued later), it is spelled "Merchant's." Cover text: "A simple description and directions for the use of the slide rule for the Merchant, Importer, Exporter, Accountant, Manager, Mechanic, Foreman, and others." The front cover list branch offices including Detroit which was established in 1936. Codes on back cover at bottom: 6533-1 km, i, ao. cM. | 10,186. K & E main offices and factories were in Hoboken during this period.
