Single folio, 5-5/8" wide x 8-5/8" high, [4] pp. This item accompanied objects catalog 2009.006.0163, a Both's Patent Section Liner which was a machine for the methodical drawing of repeated and precise parallel lines at a selected angle as required by drafting workers, engineers, mapmakers, etc.
Condition of this item is very poor. Reference prints on file. PDF on file; tiffs media archive.
On the instruction sheets is "New York and Chicago." This branch opened in 1891 and the St. Louis branch which opened in 1894 is not listed, so the date range for when this booklet and the object were issued is probably 1891-1894.
Note the faint red diagonal background imprinting on each page: "Keuffel & Esser Co., New York & Chicago."
Keuffel & Esser Co. main office and factories were in Hoboken in the period when this item was made.
