All views are locations that have all changed, but where filming was once done for "On the Waterfront." Photo 1. Fence (gate 4 with gatehouse) on east side of River Street mid-block between Second and Third Streets. The approximate location would have been Pier B of the Port Authority Piers. It was the last section of original fencing from that era (and possibly much earlier) and is now the site of the W Hotel. Old bollards reclaimed from the piers are seen inside the fenced area.
