Leather barber's razor strop embossed "Geo. E. Lohrman, Hoboken, N.J.," Model 251?, no date, circa 1890-1910. Two 1/8" thick leather straps with tongue ends, 23-5/8" long x 2-1/2" wide; stamped metal hanger, painted black, with swivel snap hook; strops are bolted to hanger. Tongues 5" long. Front strop: brown finish; gilt stamped top and bottom as recorded below; back strop, black leather; blind stamped as recorded below.
Object was a typical item found in a barber shop for sharpening shaving razors; George Lohrman is considered as the maker of this item.
