Black silk embroidered with gold lettering and insignia flag in white, blue and gold, 1-1/4" wide x 39" long. (No anchor embroidered at either end.) Nordd. Lloyd = Norddeutscher Lloyd (North German Lloyd Steamship (or S.S.) Company.; NDL or NGL; also known at one time as Bremen Line.) D. Kronprinz Wilhelm = Dampfer Kronprinz Wilhelm Dampfer = steamship ---- North German Lloyd had its American home port in Hoboken during this era and the Bremen routinely docked here.
