Lloyd = Norddeutscher Lloyd (North German Lloyd Steamship (or S.S.) Company.; NDL or NGL; also known at one time as Bremen Line.) D. Friedrich der Grosse = Dampfer Friedrich der Grosse Dampfer = steamship (S.S. Friedrich der Grosse was in fleet from 1896 until 1914.) ---- North German Lloyd had its American home port in Hoboken during this era and the Friedrich der Grosse routinely docked here.
