Boathouse, built circa 2007, is in the style of the original 19th century architecture of the New York Yacht Club clubhouse that was once near the present building's location. The new building is designed with rack storage for kayaks or other similiar sports boats like canoes. It is also called Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse for the organization that is using it. Formally dedicated in a ceremony on August 6, 2008.
Some views include Union Dry Dock Co. which is on the Hudson River just to the south of Maxwell Place. New York City with the Empire State Building is in some backgrounds.
