DescriptionArmband: BPOE [Benevolent Protective Order of Elks], Hoboken [Lodge No.] 74. No date, circa 1920-1950. Maroon felt, 3-3/4" square with tan woven cotton tape applied to top edge on three sides; silk-screened text on diagonal in tan ink with a rose on stem in green and red; cotton tape threaded for tying around sleeve. Other than that this item once belonged to a Dominick J. Lahres (ca. 1892 - 1960s per source of purchase.) Event (parade, ceremony, etc.) that this insignia was intended to be used in is not known. Dating of this item is an estimate only.
