Discusses the first train of October 15, 1851 of the Ligget's Gap Railroad that was the first link in the system (i.e. Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad.) "Lackawanna is the major trunkline between Hoboken, New Jersey and Buffalo, New York." Discusses, with four photos, Edison firm's relationship and electrical battery products made for and used included those for a passenger car that went into service in 1929.
The Edison company is promoting two divisions: Storage Battery Division, West Orange, N.J.; Primary Battery Division, Bloomfield, N.J.
