DescriptionMenu from a Banquet in honor of Monsignor Francis Satolli, Papal Delegate on the occasion of his visit to Rev. P. Corrigan [Our Lady of Grace Church], Hoboken, N.J. May 15, 1893. The artifact is in two pieces which do not collate as a single folded sheet, thus the item is probably not complete. Each leaf has an edge that indicates a fold line, but they do not collate top to bottom correctly. Both are dated the same.4.5" wide x 7" high. 1st leaf: photo portrait of Monsignor Satolli with the menu printed in violet ink on the verso. 2nd leaf: banquet titling printed in gold ink running vertically with a list of guests on the verso printed in the same typeface and violet ink as the 1st leaf. Among the guests were the Governor of New Jersey, George T. Werts, Mayor Lawrence Fagan of Hoboken, Colonel Edwin A. Stevens, John Stevens plus many notables from outside of Hoboken.
