Dimensioned side elevation and specification sheets for this diesel electric. Date drawings were made is not indicated, probably mid to late 1930s.While not so marked as M.P. & E. [Motive Power & Equipment] sheets, they conform in size to typical ones.

Notes: Taber lists all but no. 401 as built in 1934. No 408 is listed, but a 409 built in 1934 is listed. All but two were scrapped 1959-1961. The Lackawanna Terminal in Hoboken was the main eastern terminus for the railroad's passenger service and certain freight operations. This switcher was used in Hoboken. It is unknown if the drawings were made in Hoboken or at one of the many other DL&W facilities, although the engineering department was at one time in Hoboken.
