Going for a walk - Tracks behind Hoboken, William Dejesus & his children: Selena, Age 6, William, Age 2.
View is north along the tracks which were near the end of their use as a working line. (Among the railroad names associated with this trackage: N.J. Junction Railroad; N.Y.C. & H.R.R.R. - New York Central & Hudson River Railroad.) It had become a lightly used freight line that became the right-of-way for the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail in the late 1990s-2000s.
Photograph is one of several in this accession that were discarded file photos considered or used for publication in The Hoboken Reporter newspaper from circa 1983-1988.
