Notes: While not so marked, the folds, staple and nature of the item makes it likely that this receipt was submitted for reimbursement to the Overseer of the Poor, Hoboken. It was characteristic of other receipts seen in this genre where the person receiving the charity was allowed to spend up to three dollars for food. The bill would have been attached to a form (probably with other ones from the same month) and sent to the Overseer. Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2010-08-26
