DescriptionFelt patch from A.J. Demarest High School for Student Council 1948-1949 belonging to Katherine Marinovich, Hoboken, 1948-49. White felt 3-1/4" wide x 4" high. Crimson design on white (now discolored). Marinovich graduated from Demarest in 1951. This item would be from the tenth grade. The reverse has a length of 1/4" white elastic banding machine-sewn across it and ending at the edge. It has probably been trimmed and was once a continuous loop making the patch an armband.
