Pamphlet, 4-1/8" high x 5-1/4 wide, 13 pp. plus foldout diagram. PDF on file. The fold-out depicts on one side the leveling rod (and target) furnished with the level. The other side has a keyed diagram of the level which stays folded out so that the user can refer to it when reading the instructions. In use, the booklet is 15-3/4" wide. Typically issued in the wooden box that stored the surveying level. Unstated is that K&E had their main offices and factory in Hoboken when this was issued. The New York location was the 'Parent House' for the showroom and retail operation located there. This surveying instrument was in the catalogs up until about 1940, so this version may have been issued for several years.
