Mantellos mount, 4-1/4" x 6" high. Photograph taken by Lay [Studio], 628 Washington St., Hoboken, N.J. (Imprint in lower margin includes another studio location: 33 W. 8th St. opp. Depot, Bayonne, N.J.) Reverse is blank except for photographer's imprint.
Boy is not identified. Proprietor of studio was Herman Norton Lay.
The front bottom border of the mount is blind embossed with studio name at center with the two addresses flanking it:
628 Washington St., near 7th St., Hoboken, N.J.
33 West 8th St. Opp. Depot, Bayonne, N.J.
Reverse is imprinted with only the Hoboken address which makes it probable that it was done in Hoboken.
