These photos are from an accession group that consists of photographs from Hoboken Police Department records. Discarded in the 1990s, the original documentary purpose of this photo is not stated or apparent.
The exterior shots of this delivery truck does not show any activity related to the vehicle or law enforcement purposes. (Ferry Street later renamed Observer Highway.) The building may also have been the Railway Express Agency (REA) which used the facility.
The truck has a 1932 New York commercial license plate.
