Sign created by Raymond Smith for the display of the Georgia Children's Memorial Flag at City Hall, Hoboken, no date, ca. 2001. Two versions: 8" high x 5-3/4" wide print mounted on 1/4" foamcore (marked as copy A); 11" wide x 14" high unmounted and untrimmed print (marked as copy B, not imaged).
The top portion is a color photograph of sixteen children (none identified) from Glenwood Primary School, Rome, Georgia, standing in front of the flag that they help to make with their handprints. Digital date in lower right corner of the photo: 9/27/01. Photographer is not identified. Location is probably Rome, Georgia.

This flag was created by Georgia art teacher Amy Young as a response to Hoboken resident Rob Guglielmetti's eyewitness account of 9/11. It was displayed at Pier A in tribute to the victims. Shown above are some the children whose hands made the stars.
