Apparently related to photo 2011.048.0018, a differing view taken by the same photographer and likely on the same day, it shows primarily the buildings. The corner store is 1126 Hudson St. Twelfth Street is at the right and except for for a girl at corner plus the group seen in the distance on Hudson St. (several women with baby carriages - not the same group as in the related photo), people are not very visible. The tracks on Hudson Street are for streetcars (trolleys - note overhead catenary wire) Enameled street signs on building at 12th and Hudson St. Pendant street light. Fire hydrant. While undated, the date range is suggested by other items in this accession. This photo is from an accession group that consists of photographs from Hoboken Police Department records. Discarded in the 1990s, the original documentary purpose of this photo is not stated or apparent.
