Scope and ContentToll receipts, two, from the Holland Tunnel, 1927. Machine imprinted paper, two-part form with horizontal perforation, 3-3/8 high x 3-5/8" wide. Reverse imprinted with traffic rules. Both were for fifty cents which was the toll for automobiles (and code "II" before the amount was used for automobiles - see archives 2012.007.0013.) 1: November 24, 1927; dark gray; transaction number 28290. 2: December 36 [sic - probably 26], 1927; salmon; transaction number 66799. At this time, the tunnel was still under two administrative jurisdictions as imprinted at bottom: New York State Bridge and Tunnel Commission and New Jersey Interstate Bridge and Tunnel Commission.
