Scope and ContentCocomalt premium brochure: Valuable Prizes for Boys and Girls! Issued by R.B. Davis Co., (Hoboken), 1938. Single sheet, 10-1/2" wide x 12-1/2" high folded to 3-1/2" wide x 6-1/4" high. Printed in full color. The Davis company manufactured Cocomalt in Hoboken at the time of issue. The company name does not appear on the folder except on the back panel as "R.B.D.Co." The company offered 43 prizes for children who drank Cocomalt (or the mother who bought the product for them.) Inner seals from the canned product had to be sent to "Cocomalt, Hoboken, New Jersey." The prizes could be obtained free by sending in the appropriate number of seals from half-pound or one-pound cans (or the key from a 5-lb can have a multiple value.) This catalog also offered an alternative for selected items of using a smaller number of seals and sending cash along with them to get the desired items. (Some did not have this seal and cash value, but were given a redemption value in seals only.) The range of goods offered was extensive including silk stockings. The back panel where instructions are stated notes the "offers in this folder expire December 31st, 1938."
