Donor Pam Roland Miller stated that the man at left was Franz Roland who was her great-great-grandfather. Location was as stated as on back of print by relative who transmitted imaged to her.
Note in the window to the left are broadsides advertising the " The White Crooks " which was a burlesque company (presented by Edward K. Rush) known from at least 1882-1883. The theatre name on the posters is not legible.

Business moved to 108 First St. between Washington & Bloomfield Sts. by the early 1890s. Franz was also known as Frank.
