The S.S. "Leviathan" of the United States Lines is one of the largest ships in the world. Formerly the German liner "Vaterland" of the Hamburg-Amerika Line, this vessel was renamed the "Leviathan." Reconditioned at a cost of nearly, £2,000,000, she is one of the most luxurious and commodious liners afloat, as well as one of the fastest and safest. She has an over-all length of 950 ft., a breadth of 100 ft. 6 ins., a depth of 184 ft., and a gross registered tonnage of 59,956.
