Members of the creative enclave have 24-hour access to studio and exhibition space that fosters creativity, and take part in regular group critiques of their work, critical feedback from peers for their ongoing creative development. Current artists include Ivan Petrovski, Vincent Zambrano, Kris Dulfer, Andrea Kroenig, Monique Sarfity and Jordan DeLiso. 720 Creation Station is run through Art in Action, coordinated and administered by Roland Ramos. Members are vetted through an application process that includes a portfolio review and interview, as well as references from studios and curators they have worked with in the past. For more information, visit: www.720creationstation.tumblr.com Hob'art co-operative Gallery E208 Founded in 2002 by Hoboken resident Liz Cohen, and run by its officers and members, hob'art is a co-operative gallery that was established by a group of Hoboken artists and has operated as a moving art exhibition until opening its first permanent gallery space at Monroe Center in January. With 56 members from Hudson County and other parts of Northern New Jersey, hob'art's objective is to exhibit contemporary art of the highest standard with a wide range of artwork and media including fiber, printmaking/ digital/ photography, sculpture/3D and painting/drawing/ mix media. Hob'art gallery director France Garrido is a Weehawken resident and a professional curator, she is also on the staff of the Department of Education of the Newark Museum and Urban Arts at the Monroe Art Center. The Monroe Center is proud to announce plans for a new gallery and artspace on the 2nd floor called "Palette." This space will function primarily as a fine arts gallery and will be open weekdays for the public and as a lounge for tenants. Evening events will include Figure Drawing and a monthly film series, as well as music, guest speakers and more. There will be wi-fi, coffee and light snacks available. Artistic Director Joseph Borzotta (formerly of Liquid Lounge/Gallery) brings his experience as an artist, curator, bar owner, and arts organizer to this project as well as the upcoming Residents Gallery on the ground floor and the Artist-in-Residence Program at the Monroe Center. The space is home to three of the New York Metropolitan Area's finest theater companies - Mile Square Theater, The Theater Company and Hoboken Children's Theater.
