Photograph taken by Leveridge, Portrait and Commercial Photographer, 943 Bloomfield St., Hoboken, N.J. Reverse is imprinted with photographer business name with address added below with an inkstamp. Also pencil notations: 7,55 Mrs. Larson 1 pd [paid?], 210 West. None of the people are identified. Scene of photo does not appear to be located in Hoboken, but IF in Hoboken then it is likely to be at one of two possible areas: near Hudson Square Park or Elysian Fields. Six women have nineteen children seated or standing near them. At the right is a billy goat cart with a flag and a boy next to it wearing a military uniform with a drum and drumsticks. The children range in age from about one year old to circa 10-12 years of age. The photographer was apparently Walter Hamilton Leveridge whose primary location was in Elizabeth, N.J. The Bloomfield Street address would have been a secondary studio for him. Little information about him is available. See notes.
