Framed color night-time photograph of the S.S. Constitution and the S.S. Independence in drydock at the Bethlehem Steel Co. Hoboken Shipyard, n.d., ca. 1964. Both ships were owned by the American Export Line.
View is looking southeast towards the river. The "Constitution" is in drydock 1, the "Independence" is in drydock 2. The vessels were in berthed in Hoboken during the 1964 American seamen's strike.
Simple brown mahogany frame with linen-covered matte. Matte window is 19" high x 23" wide. Backing has negative number ( 45957A4N ); the museum does not have the negative. Image attached to this file is a partial view.
