Both ships were owned by the American Export Line. View is looking southeast towards the river. The "Constitution" is in drydock 1, the "Independence" is in drydock 2. The vessels were in berthed in Hoboken during the 1964 American seamen's strike. Simple brown mahogany frame with linen-covered matte. Matte window is 19" high x 23" wide.
