Postcard: Along the Palisades, West Hoboken, N.J. No date, circa 1901-1907. Black-and-white photogravure card, 3-1/2" high x 5-7/16" wide; undivided back; unposted. Inscribed by "Cousin Emma" on front in lower margin; reverse blank except for ink: "Cousin Lil."
No publisher stated. Front has a stock number at the lower right: 752.
This view is looking southwest towards the cliffs also known as "The Heights" showing the northwest corner of Hoboken below West Hoboken in the Heights from the center to the right edge. The Hillside trolley or streecar tracks can be seen.
West Hoboken later became Union City; it was not part of Hoboken.
Left detail 1: land that would have been within Hoboken including the railroad tracks of New York Central Railroad, Erie Railroad and the primary right-of-way holder, New Jersey Junction Railroad; the tracks from the curve going east are Seventeenth St. in Hoboken (this right of way is the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail that

The company stated itself as at "Fifteenth and Jefferson Streets, Hoboken", covering the full block from 14th to 15th Streets and Jefferson to Madison Streets. Its street address was actually listed as 1408-26 Jefferson Street in directories.
