Hermann Sackmann (1899 - 1971) was born on May 28, 1899. He died in Hoboken, August 1971, at 72 years old. He was a past president (1939-1940) of the Plattduetsche Volksfest Vereen of New York & New Jersey (PVV), which was established in 1875 and is still a very active organization.
The card is indicative of the long heritage of German cultural organizations related to Hoboken and the activities of Hoboken residents with German ancestry.
