Secretary, Board of Tax Commissioners, City of Hoboken: Dear Sir: In reply to your letter of the 13th instant, asking for A condensed statement of our expenses for the coming year, I reply at Once that I have obtained from our Treasurer the following: We shall Need For Salaries of seven teachers and the Janitor.. $4,450.00 For Rent (including one new room required) …………… 900.00 For Supplies for the Departments of seven teachers .. 1,800.00 For renewal of worn out fixtures and tools (7 years) .. 750.00 For Refitting of Carpentry & Cook rooms, & fitting up the new room…… 350.00 ----------- $8,250.00 One half of the required am't. can be secured from the State …………………………………………………… 4,125.00 ------------ When the other half is given by the City………………….. 4,125.00 I shall be very glad to explain the work to the Commissioners or reply to any required questioning, and at any time I am at your service.
