Advertisement: Venus Pencils, A Venus fairly flows over the paper. American Pencil Co., Venus Building, Hoboken, N.J. Full-page color magazine ad as published in The Saturday Evening Post, August 16, 1930, page 91. Single leaf as removed from publication, 10-1/4" x 13-5/8" high.
While the ad was promoting a ten cent (10¢) pencil, there is a boxed promotion at lower right for the Velvet Pencil which was five cents.
Note the company is using the name here of American Pencil rather than the fuller name - American Lead Pencil.
