Notes: Source of leaf stated it was from a 1929 magazine. It could be speculated that the 'worried ... shoppers' in the title was a marketing reference to economic climate in late 1929. The stock market crash of Oct. 29, 1929 and the subsequent economic uncertainty that became a worry for customers in the the holiday shopping season could have been part of this campaign or it may have been just a general reference to the presumed harried nature of holdiay shopping. A definitive determination of when the ad was published would help. Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2012-12-03
