Description"Cocomalt", sample size metal can, made by R.B. Davis Co., Hoboken, no date, ca. 1927-1930. Tin can, 1-15/16" diameter x 1-15/16" high including slip lid. Cocomalt was a powdered malted drink made and marketed by the R.B. Davis Baking Powder Company, Hoboken. Can is empty. Remains of printed wrap-around label included "Hobo" which is presumed to be Hoboken. The amount of contents is unknown, but was probably one to two ounces. Cocomalt containers from the 1930s are lithographed tin metal with a pry lid and not stamped on top as this one. The can here may be earlier than 1927.
