Photograph
Cabinet photograph of a girl, boy and baby (related to Great-Grandmother Lancy) posed in photographer's studio, no date, circa 1892-1893.
Photograph is one of several of this family whose fuller name is unknown. None of the three are identified. The girl and boy also are seen in photo 2014.013.0029 which was taken by a different Hoboken photographer. See related.
4-3/16" x 6-7/16" high on photographer's mount. Photographed by Dimmers Photo Studio, 406 Washington St., Hoboken. Imprint on front in lower border. Full imprint on back.
Note that the back imprint states a new street address below 406 Washington St.: New Number 1018. This establishes that photo is not earlier than 1892.
----
Theodore Dimmers was operating in Hoboken along with his brother, Rudolf (or Rudolph), at 406 Washington St. from the mid-to late 1880s (and which became 1018 Washington in 1892). Both addresses have been seen (using name of Dimmers or Dimmers Photo Studio) with text "Formerly in New York." Which of the two were the photographer for this sitting is unknown.
