DescriptionCommemorative photo medallion of Bernard N. McFeely, Hoboken, no date, probably 1930. Metal with antiqued gold finish; ca. 2" high x 1-5/8" wide; photographic button mounted at center with celluloid cover. Believed to have been issued in 1930 when he became Mayor (under the Commission system and serving until 1947). He had been a Commissioner in Hoboken city government since 1915. This photographic image of him is ca. 1920 (note collar and necktie fashion) and he used it as his official portrait for many years thus it is not a true representation of how he appeared in 1930.
