Aliens In Transit through England, as well as British subjects holding passports issued or renewed within one year, do not require the visae of the British Consul. American Citizens must have British Visae. INCOME TAX: All passengers (Except U. S. Citizens), are required to submit their tax receipts or exemption certificate as evidence of their having complied with the Income Tax Law, at the Barge Office, South Ferry, New York City, not later than 24 hours prior to sailing, at which time they will receive necessary sailing permit BAGGAGE: Passengers should label their baggage with full name, destination, name of steamer, sailing date, location and number of pier. Tags and labels furnished on application. All baggage should be on the pier at least 24 hours before sailing and claimed at least two hours before departure of vessel. Failure to claim baggage may result in same being left behind at passenger's risk. DOGS, CATS, MONKEYS, BIRDS: These should be properly caged before being brought aboard and turned over to the Baggage Master who will deliver them to the Butcher for caretaking. Rates on dogs $15.00 each; Cats, Monkeys and Birds $5.00 each. Butcher's fees additional. Dogs to be landed in England will not be accepted unless necessary license from the Secretary of Agriculture in London, showing that they may be landed in England is obtained. GERMAN EXPORT TAX: Passengers leaving Germany are cautioned to make a declaration of, and pay duty, on all articles purchased in that country. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in confiscation of such articles, as well as the imposition of a fine. HOW TO REACH OUR PIERS FROM NEW YORK: By ferry from West Twenty-third Street, foot of Barclay or Christopher Streets, to Lackawanna Station, Hoboken, N. J. BY HUDSON TUBES at either 33rd Street and 6th Avenue, Cortlandt Street or intermediate stations. Get off at Lackawanna Station, Hoboken, N. J. (last stop). PASSENGERS SHOULD BE ON THE PIER AT LEAST TWO HOURS BEFORE SAILING IN ORDER THAT THEIR TICKETS MAY BE EXAMINED AND BAGGAGE MAY BE CLAIMED. ==== ==== Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2013-03-26
