Black-and-white photo of the construction of Pier 5 (formerly Pier 14) at the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard, Hoboken Division, January 30, 1957. Pier 14 at the right was acquired in 1949 and was reconstructed and reduced in width for shipyard use and called Pier 5. Photo looking east towards the Hudson River was taken by Davis Studios. Two copies.
Concrete forms for new construction are in place. Note drydock no. 4 to the right and the two derrick barges.
