View is northeast of the Fifth Street facade of the primary building on the campus in that era. Now known as Edwin A. Stevens Hall, it has been referred to as the Main building or "A" building. River Street as it extends beyond Hudson Square Park (now Stevens Park) is at the right The lack of mature foliage and any fencing may make this image earlier than 1880.
