Photograph by V. Ross, 2362 Third Ave., N.Y. City. The back is blank. The bank was established in 1857, but the building that this photo was taken in was built in 1890. It is at the southwest corner of Washington and Newark Sts. The gas wall sconces have been electrified. See 2002.135.0001 for a similar view of this room a few years earlier before the electrification.
