Booklet, 4-1/2" wide x 6-3/4" high, 64 pp. plus color lithographed cover. PDF on file. Cover title: Davis' O.K. Cook Book. Useful Information and Budget of Fun. The company's factory offices and factory were in Hoboken at this time. The factory is depicted inside front cover: an artist's bird's-eye view of the company's factory at Ferry, Jackson and Harrison Streets in Hoboken. Curiously it gives the street names, but not the city. It is a fantasy view looking southwest with most other buildings not shown, but it does acknowledge its proximity to the railroad lines. Stated below the image is "Daily Capacity 20 Tons." A slightly earlier issue of this cookbook (archives 2010.007.0038) stated "15 Tons." Company name and Hoboken location is on title page and on the can (on label, as "Office") on the front cover can. Depiction of a box of Davis' High Grade Pure Corn Starch is on the back. The box has text "Guaranteed by... under the Food and Drug Act. June 30, 1906. Serial No. 924. ---- recipe / recipes / humor / household hints ---- Ink name on front cover: Lizzie Marshall.

Possibly useful for dating is text on page 4, "only Baking Powder selling for 20 cents per pound."
